This past week, the skies over Middle Tennessee have carried a weight we could all feel.
From April 3rd through the 6th, storms swept across our region with a force that was hard to ignore. For many of us, it meant sleepless nights listening for sirens, checking on neighbors, and making those tough decisions—like whether or not to close our doors for the day. At Restoration Dentistry, we made the call to close the practice on April 3rd out of an abundance of caution for our team and our patients. It wasn’t a decision we took lightly, but it was the right one.
Storms like these remind us how vulnerable we all are. Trees can fall. Power can vanish. Plans shift without warning. But in the midst of that disruption, there’s also something grounding: the way people check in with each other. The way a community moves toward one another instead of away.
We’re grateful to report that our team is safe, and our building is sound. But we know that isn’t the case for everyone. If you or someone you love is dealing with storm damage, please know you’re in our thoughts. If there’s any way we can support you—by being flexible with scheduling, offering a quiet space to recharge (literally or emotionally), or just listening—our door is always open.
Thank you for your grace and understanding as we navigated these unexpected closures. We’re back at work, but we carry the weight of the week with us, along with a renewed sense of gratitude—for shelter, for safety, and for the people who make this community feel like home.
Stay safe. Be kind. We’re here when you need us.
